Protection from duplicates when migrating from another sync tool

If you turn on SYNCDATE while another sync tool is still running on the same calendars, the two can fight and create duplicate events. We plan to warn you during setup and detect runaway duplicate creation before it spreads.

Add a calendar to an existing sync without starting over

Today, adding a third calendar to a sync can be confusing. We are making it easy to add or swap a calendar in a sync you already created, without deleting and rebuilding it.

Easier calendar picker for similar account names

When you have several accounts or calendars with similar names, it is easy to pick the wrong one. We plan to always show the account email and more detail in the picker so you choose the right calendar with confidence.

Tell you when a connection needs reconnecting

If an account loses access and stops syncing, you should hear about it right away. We plan to pause the affected sync and email you with a one-click reconnect, so a sync never sits quietly broken.

Skip birthdays from imported calendars too

Birthday filtering works for native birthday calendars but can miss birthdays that come from an imported or subscribed calendar. The idea is to catch those too. Open for votes.

Warn you before a settings change removes events

Changing a sync's direction, calendars, or filters can remove events that no longer match. We plan to show you exactly how many events will be added or removed and ask you to confirm first.

Smart filters from a plain-English goal

Describe what you want in plain words, like "keep my personal life off my work calendar", and have SYNCDATE suggest a set of filter rules for you to review and accept. An early idea, open for votes.

Richer filtering: keep-only rules and combined conditions

Today filters only remove events. The idea is to also support keep-only rules (copy only events that match) and combining conditions, plus matching on more event details like location, description, or organizer. Open for votes.

Pause your account instead of deleting it

A gentler off-ramp: pause everything and keep your setup and data for a while, instead of a full delete, so you can come back later without rebuilding. Under review.

Highlight when two events overlap across your calendars so you can spot a double-booking before it becomes a problem. Under review.

Notify me when an event fails to reach a calendar

If an event cannot be copied to one of its target calendars, let me know rather than failing quietly. Requested by a user. Open for votes.
