Share a calendar with someone through an invite link

Let a partner, an assistant or a colleague share their calendar into your SYNCDATE without handing over a password. They open an invite link, sign in to their own provider, choose which calendars to share and with what permission, and can revoke it whenever they like.

Scheduling links

Share a link that shows when you are free, calculated from every calendar you have connected, and let people book a slot. Deliberately simple: one link, a meeting length, your available windows. Booked events land on a calendar you choose and flow through your existing syncs.

Share a busy-only calendar feed

Publish a read-only feed of when you are busy, with or without details, that you can share with a client or add to another calendar app. You could create a separate feed for each audience and switch a feed off at any time.

Buffers and travel time around events

Automatically add time before and after a copied event, such as drive-to, drive-from or preparation, as set per sync. Travel time based on the event's location could follow.

History log: what changed and what the sync wrote

A record you can read: who changed a sync setting and when, with before and after, and what each sync created, updated or deleted on your calendars. You could see and cancel queued deletions before they run and restore deleted copies. A team-wide log for admins would follow.

Calendar view: refresh, saved view, open the original event

Improvements to the in-app calendar: it refreshes by itself, remembers your preferred view, lets you jump from a copy to the original event in the right account, and later create and edit events from the view with a prompt for recurring events.

Link several sign-ins to one account

Signing in with Google one day and Microsoft the next currently creates two separate accounts. We want to detect this, offer to link the sign-ins, and let you merge two accounts with a preview of what moves. A sign-in used only to log in should not count toward your connected-account limit.

Choose the start date and how far ahead each sync looks

Today the reach of a sync is set by your plan. We want to let you pick, for each sync, the date it starts from and how far into the future it goes, for example from 1 January and no more than 6 months ahead, within the limits of your plan. The wizard would show the exact window each sync uses. Syncing your entire calendar history, with no limit in either direction, is a later step.

Master calendar: several calendars feeding one, two-way

Connect three client calendars and a personal calendar into one master calendar, and have the master show Busy back on each of the others, all set up from the sync wizard. Today a copy never travels onward to a third calendar. We want this to work in both directions without events looping or leaking details between calendars.

Sync when your work IT blocks Microsoft sign-in

Many work and school Outlook accounts cannot connect any more because the organization requires an administrator to approve third-party calendar apps. We want a way to keep your calendars in sync even when you cannot get that approval: an easier path in the setup flow when a connection is blocked, a way to deliver events that needs no Microsoft consent, and a one-page pack your IT team can approve quickly.

Event color - Custom Category Names

Instead of being allowed to use only predefined Category Names (Event Colors), such as "Red category," it would be good to be able to use custom category names as well.

Skip birthdays from imported calendars too

Birthday filtering works for native birthday calendars but can miss birthdays that come from an imported or subscribed calendar. The idea is to catch those too. Open for votes.

Conflict and double-booking detection

Highlight when two events overlap across your calendars so you can spot a double-booking before it becomes a problem. Under review.

Pause your account instead of deleting it

A gentler off-ramp: pause everything and keep your setup and data for a while, instead of a full delete, so you can come back later without rebuilding. Under review.

Smart filters from a plain-English goal

Describe what you want in plain words, like "keep my personal life off my work calendar", and have SYNCDATE suggest a set of filter rules for you to review and accept. An early idea, open for votes.

Notify me when an event fails to reach a calendar

If an event cannot be copied to one of its target calendars, let me know rather than failing quietly. Requested by a user. Open for votes.

Yahoo Calendar

Richer filtering: keep-only rules and combined conditions

Combining conditions and matching on more event details (title, description, location, meeting link, guests, privacy, free or busy, source calendar) shipped on 11 October with Custom text and rules, on Plus and above. What is still open: keep-only rules, where only events that match are copied, and filtering by colour or category. Open for votes.
